Topic: TinyMCE 4.0 Released

It's finally released the production ready version of TinyMCE 4. We fixed a ton of bugs over the last month and improved existing features and introduced a few new ones mostly based on great ideas by the community.

Thanks for all the feedback both here in the forums and in issue tracker. We still have a lot of things on the todo list for upcoming versions. So feel free to speak your mind about missing features, possible bugs etc.

You can find the full changelog here.

Best regards,
Spocke - Main developer of TinyMCE

Re: TinyMCE 4.0 Released

Thanks for the release. Now it's time to convert all our plugins from 3.x to 4.x. This is a lot of work, especially while documentation on authoring (multi-language) plugins is almost non-existing.
I am trying to get the CodeMirror source code editor released, but am running into problems making it multi-language.
First question: Where do we report bugs for TinyMCE 4? Sourceforge? Github?
Second question:
When I run TinyMCE with the following config:

tinymce.init({
    selector: "#html_msg",
    language: 'en'
});

Nothing happens, no editor is shown (all browsers). No errors are logged.
If I use this:

tinymce.init({
    selector: "#html_msg",
});

it works fine. It seems to me that this is a bug?
How can I set the language to 'en', without entirely removing the language key?

Isn't the 'en.js' file in the 'langs' directory missing?

Report bugs here: http://www.tinymce.com/develop/bugtracker_bugs.php
The language packs have changed to a more gnu text like style where the English is automatically translated by the language packs to other languages. Therefor there is no English language pack.
4.0.1/Nightly will simply ignore the language: 'en' setting since it's redundant. We haven't released that yet. You can also use the requireLanguagePack() method in your plugin to load plugin specific language files.

Re: TinyMCE 4.0 Released

Wouldn't it be better to allow

language: 'en'

but ignore this setting? Otherwise this will be a trap for many.

@stefanw: This is fixed in the latest nightly and will be resolved in 4.0.1.
