Topic: TinyMCE 4.0.4 Released

Here comes another maintenance release for the 4.x branch of TinyMCE. It mostly includes bug fixes but it has also a new importcss plugin that makes it possible to import classes from CSS files as you could in the 3.x versions. This one however enables way more control over this import process and by default it supports more complex CSS selectors. We also fixed various browser compatibility issues mostly for IE.

We will continue to focus on having a stable 4.0.x branch but we seem to have squashed most of the bugs and most of them have been related to inline editing or the new UI.

Thanks for sending in bug reports and pull requests for fixes.

Best regards,
Spocke - Main developer of TinyMCE

Re: TinyMCE 4.0.4 Released

Hi Spocke,

Thanks for sharing this information with us.

Will you please share an demo example (url) along with source code so that we will come to know how to use importcss plugin?

As you mentioned I tried using this plugin but still not able to load the styles in styleselect dropdown menu.

Below is the code snippet for the same :

theme: "modern",
menubar : false,
statusbar: false,
plugins: [
    "advlist autolink lists autoresize link image charmap print preview hr anchor pagebreak",
    "searchreplace wordcount visualblocks visualchars code fullscreen",
    "insertdatetime media nonbreaking save table contextmenu directionality",
    "emoticons paste textcolor spellchecker template noneditable importcss"
],
contextmenu: "cut copy paste | image inserttable",
toolbar1: button1,
toolbar2: button2,
toolbar3: button3,
toolbar_items_size: 'small',
content_css: "/CSS/user.css",
style_formats: [{title: 'Example 1', inline: 'span', classes: 'example1'}],
importcss_append: true

And below is the user.css :

body {
    background-color: #FFFFFF;
    font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;
    font-size: 11px;
}
td {
    font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;
    font-size: 10px;
}
pre {
    font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;
    font-size: 10px;
}
.example1 {
    font-size: 14px;
    font-weight: bold;
}
.example2 {
    color: #FF0000;
    font-size: 12px;
    font-weight: bold;
}
.tablerow1 {
    background-color: #BBBBBB;
}

What I am expecting is :

Classes example1, example2, tablerow1 should get loaded in Formats drop down menu dynamically instead of hard coding (by defining them in style_formats config option)

Please let me know if I am missing anything?

(Using latest TinyMCE version v 4.0.10)
