Topic: TinyMCE 4.0.24 Released

This release fixes a few minor bugs and issues and adds a new event_root setting that lets you specify a CSS selector to be used for defining the root element where all events should be bound in inline mode. This makes it easier to move inline editors in the DOM without having to attach/reattach editor events.

We also made it possible to specify a custom function for the link_list and image_list option enabling you to for example do a custom ajax request to populate these lists.

Check the changelog for details.

Re: TinyMCE 4.0.24 Released

When version 4.0.24 is loaded inside a form on WebKit browsers (Chrome / Safari) the submit button on the form no longer works!

Here's a fiddle:

Submit doesn't work. Remove the textarea, update, and then it works.

Update: should mention it fails in Chrome (34) but works in IE.

Re: TinyMCE 4.0.24 Released

Fixed this issue and released it as 4.0.25. Sorry for breaking things didn't think such a minor code change would break all form submission all unit tests passed etc.

Re: TinyMCE 4.0.24 Released

@spocke Thank you for the quick fix. I know we are getting this for free, but I would really appreciate a way to lock to a version so I can run it through our own test suite before upgrading, and not have to hear about a problem from the customers. The variety of browsers and configuration options for Tiny is so large that there's too many things that can can go wrong even for a minor version release, you can't possibly hope to test all the possible combinations yourself.

Yes will look into having all versions on the CDN and also as downloads.

Re: TinyMCE 4.0.24 Released

For some reason, I am STILL getting this stupid tiny mce editor on all sites when I upgrade WordPress. My workaround is to simply copy and paste wp-langs-en.js to 'en.js' in the missing directories and it works fine...but what's causing this? Can we please, please get a solution? It's breaking multiple sites consistently when I upgrade WordPress, and has been occuring since the early 3.0 releases of ACF.

Here's the source of the missing scripts:

GET https://SITEURL.COM/wp-includes/js/tinymce/langs/en.js?ver=345-20111127 404 (Not Found)
wp-tinymce.php:2Failed to load: https://SITEURL.COM/wp-includes/js/tinymce/langs/en.js

How to fix it?
